Shalom! My name is Jessica and I am twenty-four, a recent graduate of Houston Baptist University where I majored in Biblical Languages (Greek and Hebrew) and Christianity. I have been a Christian for nine years, and God has never stopped being faithful!
Currently I am a “church farmer” and worship leader at the Basilica Community in Southeast Houston.
I love to write, and therefore I love to blog. Mostly I blog about music, reformed theology, church and missions, and my walk with Christ. I will undoubtedly (at times) speak before think, rub someone the wrong way, cross a line, and completely embarrass myself! But, hey… hopefully it makes for a good blog.
I’m just a young woman who still feels like she’s still a little girl most of the time, yet I’ll fight hard to play with the big dogs.
I finally got married! On January 31st, 2009 I officially became Mrs. James Evert Parks!!!
Life is hard, but Christ has lived it. The heart breaks easily, but Christ has felt it. I’m always coming up short, but Christ is everything for me I cannot be. I hope that I can always point to Him – He is our only hope and treasure.
Things I like:
Books, tattoos, food, traveling, pirates, learning, reading, and yes – video games.
Things I love:
Jesus, the Church, missions, theology, music and a good sunset.
